Our pets are only with us for a short time, and my mission is to create a keepsake to honor the joy and love they bring us. I paint in a realistic manner to capture the essence of your pet and the joy in their eyes. My goal is to immortalize that special bond between the two of you.
Hi, I’m Lisa,
a professional pet portrait artist, in Blacksburg, Virginia, with a love for animals and a passion for painting pet portraits. I’m a softy for those cute expression in your pets eyes, the tilts of their heads, and smiles on their faces. The two dogs pictured with me have both sadly passed. The Cavachon, Muffin, was my parents pup and Lady, the black lab, was my pup and my faithful studio companion. We now have an energetic, fun loving Labradoodle named Ellie, and my parents have an even more energetic pup named Nayha.

Since I was a child, I have always created art of some form or another, but it has always been the portrait drawing and painting of animals that has given me the greatest pleasure. When I present a commissioned painting to a client and they see their pet brought to life on canvas it brings me such joy! Below is one clients testimonial of their finished portrait.

A bit more about me…
I grew up in New York state and currently live in the mountains of Blacksburg, Virginia, with my husband, my two teen boys and our dog Ellie. As a child, my dream was to become a full time artist, but in college I was led down another creative path and graduated with a BA in Graphic Design. I still practice graphic design from my home studio, but I needed an escape from the long hours at the computer and so I began to explore my original passion for fine art. Several years ago, I picked up my brushes and pencils and began painting and drawing again. You can check out my sketches on Instagram.
It’s been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life and my mission is to bring a little bit of happiness to your life by painting your pet’s portrait!
