Our first family dog was a friendly black lab that we named Lady. She was 3 years old when we adopted her from the humane society and she lived a good 13 years by my side. Her favorite morning routine was a walk through our neighborhood woods and fields. Those morning walks with Lady were the inspiration for this painting.
