Paintings
On a visit to a local Alpaca farm last fall I snapped a photo of a local artist sketching the Alpacas. I just loved how the late afternoon light highlighted his back side and I knew then I wanted to create a painting of the scene. I was honored to have the painting accepted into the juried exhibition that was held at Radford University art gallery this past summer.
I recently had the privileged of painting my friend’s two children. Both kids are now in college, so I was happy to paint from one of my friends favorite photos of her children as a sweet remembrance of them as young ones.
This painting was commissioned as a surprise Christmas gift for a friends husband. The cottage in the painting is on a lake in NY and has been in his family for many generations.
